November Luncheon and Drive
Our November Luncheon, Meeting and Drive details: Saturday, November 7th, 11:30 a.m. We will meet at a familiar park we have been to a few times before (where the Summer BBQ was held at). It will be Western Springs Park in Riverton. It is located off 12600 South and 4750 West in Riverton, a few blocks WEST of Bangerter Hwy. just EAST of the Mountain View Corridor. Exact address to put into your GPS is: 4750 S. Goshute Drive, Riverton, 84065. Driving west on 12600 South turn left at the light (kitty corner from the Maverick station (northwest corner of light). We will have our monthly meeting and lunch there. Please bring your lunch from home or pick up some fast food item on your way. There are many fast food restaurants located along 12600 South in Riverton from Redwood Rd. to the park.

We will have our monthly meeting and eat lunch on the pavilion, if it is available, as it is not reserved. If pavilion is reserved we can use our camp chairs and eat on the lawn close to the pavilion like we have done all spring and summer long. After our meeting we will take a short drive west to Butterfield Canyon. Yes, the road is now paved! The canyon is located practically straight west out by the copper mine. Mike and Lynn Bailey will lead the drive. It is only 5 miles to Butterfield Canyon and I don't think many club members have been up this road before, at least not on an organized drive. The mileage up the canyon is only 9.5 miles where we will turn around and dismiss the group to head back to our homes. It will be a short drive compared to what we are used to, but a nice pleasant drive. Keep an eye out for wild turkeys and deer as I saw several of both species on the road while doing a trial run last Saturday. Hope to have a good turn-out for this as it will be one of the last drives of the year!
