Crazy Hat Day

August Luncheon/Drive

Time: 11:30 a.m.

Place: Jim's Restaurant, 1728 Park Avenue, Riverton, UT 84065

Location is on Redwood Road just south of 12600 South.

The restaurant has changed from what was mentioned in the July Newsletter. We will meet in the private room on your right hand side (north side) as you enter the restaurant.  We have changed the location to Jim’s as the Garage Grill wanted us to pay a $250.00 cover charge and all meals paid with one club check, which was not acceptable. You can order off the regular menu.

It will be our “Crazy Hat” Day so come in the best hat that you have.  It can be funny, strange, crazy, outlandish or other!  It can be home made or something that you just like.  We used to do this as an annual event, but I think last time we did it was 2019.  We will choose one winner by popular vote and they will receive a Maverik gift card, compliments of the club.  We will have our monthly meeting conducted by our new President, Mike Thompson. And discuss our upcoming activities and club business.  A sign up sheet for UMC “SWAG” will be passed around. See info on ’SWAG’ pg 11 this NL..                                            

After lunch we will take a short drive up Butterfield Canyon which is located in Herriman on the Baccus Highway turnoff.  We will line up the Miatas in the parking lot and travel west on 12600 South.  It will be about 10-15 miles up the canyon and then we’ll turn around and you can make your own way home.
