Pompeii Exhibit in Salt Lake

Several Utah Club Members are traveling to Miataland in Italy this August, and taking a Viking Ocean Cruise around the boot of Italy.  One of our cruise stops will be in the port city of Naples, Italy.  The cruise features a side tour of Pompeii, Italy, a very famous site to see and visit.  It is absolutely amazing as the club went there about 14 years ago on a club cruise to the Mediterranean.   About 22-24 UMC members went on that cruise so many will remember the trip to Pompeii.  It was one of the most fascinating cities I have ever visited.  Unfortunately I lost all of the 800 or so photos that I took in Pompeii when my computer crashed a couple years later.  I am excited to be able to take photos on the trip this year.

Fortunately we have the opportunity to see the Pompeii Exhibit at The Leonardo, in downtown Salt Lake City which will be there for another month or so. We have arranged to go to The Leonardo to see the exhibit on Saturday, February 15th at 11:00 a.m.  All club members are invited to come.  Tickets are $25.00 for adults or $22.00 for seniors.  If we have a group of 15 or more the ticket is $19.00 each. 

Please plan to arrive at The Leonardo at 11:00 am. and meet in the lobby.  You are welcome to stay as long as you wish.  I think there is a special on tickets for two with a audio-headset, but not sure of the price.  You can find details on The Leonardo's website at https://theleonardo.org/pompeii-tickets.  The audio headset is an additional $5.00 but it will give you a very detailed information about everything on display as well as history of Pompeii.  You can also check various online sources for additional discount promotions.  If you find them, please let others know.   Hope to see you there.
