The annual Utah Miata Club Summer Picnic will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015.   The picnic and drive will be led by the Baileys.  For those in the Salt Lake Valley we will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the University Park Hotel parking lot (west side) located at 480 Wakara Way up by the University of Utah.  Wakara Way is located east of Foothill Drive. We will drive up Emigration Canyon and then follow East Canyon up to Morgan and go to the Riverside Park in Morgan City, located at 195 E.125 North.  We have a Pavillion reserved from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 p.m.  We will be at the pavilion next to the walkway and not the one by the children's playground.  There should be plenty of parking in the parking lot there.  For members living up north you can just make your own way to Morgan City if you like.

 

The picnic will be hosted by Moon Dogs of Layton, where we had our February luncheon.  If you were there you will remember that the BBQ food was excellent and they did a wonderful job of feeding and serving us.  We will look forward to the same great food and service as Moon Dogs will be catering our luncheon.  

 

Menu will include:

PULLED PORK SANDWICH,  PULLED CHICKEN SANDWICH, BAKED BEANS. COLESLAW. MACARONI SALAD, CHIPS, COLD SODA POP & WATER.  A Pot item to go along with our BBQ lunch or a dessert is suggested for club members to bring, but not mandatory. This lunch will be paid for by the Utah Miata Club.

 

After lunch we will take a drive up through Northern Utah in the Huntsville area and around Trapper's Loop, and past Pineview Reservoir if everyone likes that idea. Then we can make our way home from there.  We need a head count so we can plan on how many meals we will need to purchase.  Please let Jim know preferably at the June luncheon if you will be attending the picnic in July so he can get a head count.   After all, it is a Free Lunch!  This will be lots of fun so we hope everyone can come.
