SCENIC BYWAYS to BRYCE and CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARKS
Itinerary for Sept 25-27: Target - Peak Fall Foliage for Aspens
Friday, Sept 25th meet at Harmon’s in Draper (use Bangerter exit off I-15) leave SLC at 9 am to Payson, pit stop at McDonalds then Mt Nebo Loop to Manti then Salina for picnic lunch at Salina City Park (left onto Main Street then right at 300 East, Old Highway #10), after lunch get gas before meeting at Love’s on south side of I-70; then east on I-70 to Gooseberry Road to Fish Lake, Koosharem, Antimony to Bryce (Total approx. 7.5 hrs + lunch (320 mi)). Check in to Motels then optional (on your own) park drive before dinner at Ruby’s Inn 7:30 pm in Conference Room.
Saturday, Sept 26th – Meet 9 am at Ruby’s Inn. South on Bryce Park Drive to end and back, for lunch on your own at Ruby’s Inn..
Leave by noon for All-American Highway 12 thru Escalante to Boulder (optional Burr Trail Drive) to Torrey (approx. total 4.0 hrs + overlooks) (160 mi); Check in to Motels, then early dinner (4:30 pm) at Rim Rock, then Capitol Reef Scenic Park Drive for 1.5 hrs.
Sunday, Sept 27th –
Meet at Junction of State Road 12 & 24, take State Road #24 west to State Road #72 thru Fremont to Fremont Junction on I-70, then up State Road 10 to scenic, fun drive side trip to & back Sufco Mine, then to Ferron for lunch at Millsite Golf Course (burgers and chicken baskets). . After lunch, Huntington Canyon to Fairview, then State Road 89 to Thistle State Road 6 and I-15 to SLC (approx. 5.5 hrs + lunch (260 mi)).
PS: Motels fill up early, so book your rooms for Fri (Bryce) & Sat. (Torrey) ASAP. With the current virus unknowns please consider refundable/no fee cancellation options. We are currently planning for breakfasts on your own, group picnic lunches, and dinners as dine-in as a group. We welcome everyone’s input on dining options.

I have arranged for Discounts on the rooms at Torrey ($20.00 off regular price) at Day's Inn, so price is $109.00 + tax, but you will have to call them for the reservation; 435- 425-3111. Arthur is the General Mgr. who set this rate. However you may select the hotel/motel you like or that fits you best..
For Bryce (Sept. 25 night) I have a $75.00 discount off regular price for Ruby's Inn (cost is $125.00 + tax) and a $60.00 discount off Best Western Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel for $159.00 + tax. Both include the Breakfast Buffet which I think is about $20.00/person, so this is a good deal. I also have a Group discount on all meals for our Friday night dinner and Saturday lunch at Ruby's.
